ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

What is a Lychee and elderflower Cocktail?

A Lychee Martini is a cocktail made with lychee liqueur, vodka, candy floss and citrus. It is typically served in a martini glass but can also be served as a long drink and garnished with a fresh lychee fruit or a twist of lime. The lychee liqueur gives the drink a sweet and floral flavour, while the vodka provides a smooth and alcoholic kick. The lychee Martini is a popular choice for those who enjoy fruity and refreshing cocktails.

History of the Cocktail…..

The history of the Lychee Martini is not as well-documented as some other cocktails, but it is believed to have originated in the late 20th century. The lychee fruit itself has a long history, dating back thousands of years in China and Southeast Asia, where it is native. However, the use of lychee in cocktails is a more recent development.

Lychee Martini, also known as Litchi Martini, gained popularity in the 1990s as the global demand for exotic and tropical cocktails increased. The sweet and floral flavour of lychee was a perfect addition to the cocktail scene, creating a unique and refreshing drink.

The exact origin of the Lychee Martini is unclear, and different bartenders and mixologists may have their own variations and twists on the recipe. It is believed that the cocktail was first crafted in bars and restaurants in Asia, where lychee is abundant and widely used in culinary and beverage preparations.

Since then, the Lychee Martini has become a popular and beloved cocktail around the world. It is often seen on the menu of cocktail bars and establishments that offer a variety of unique and flavourful cocktails. The combination of the lychee liqueur and vodka creates a balanced and delicate flavour.
